Living sustainably over the summer

Does anyone have any advice for living sustainably on their own over the summer? I can't move into Macalester's EcoHouse until the end of August, so I'm subletting in the neighborhood until then. I'm tending the community garden where I can get fresh (and VERY local) veggies and putting my compost in the pile nearby. Also, I don't own a car so I'm just biking and taking the bus everywhere. What are some other methods to put into practice?

This all sounds great! I have

This all sounds great! I have a garden too. I also like to hang my laundry outside to dry, so I don't use the dryer much over the summer. Also, my husband and I are making plans to use our air conditioner as little as possible, and just open windows instead. (We're going to install a ceiling fan in our bedroom, and sleep downstairs where it's cooler when it's just too hot upstairs.)

Also, TreeHugger.com has tips for a green summer. I never thought of looking for environmentally sustainable charcoal, and now maybe I will.
